Of all the things to come out of the Covid-19 pandemic, we did not have this on our bingo card. The Delaware River Has Been Recognized As America's River Of The Year.

A lot of people tried new things while in quarantine. We made Dalgona coffee, sourdough bread starters, tiktok videos and more.

I guess there is an upside to people staying inside their house all the time. The environment seemed to benefit from human pollution being limited.

The Delaware River is no exception. Our beaches and streets stayed cleaner. And now, the Delaware River has been recognized as America's River of the Year.

The Delaware has always gotten a bad rap for being dirty and if we're being honest, its been deserved.

However, the Delaware river is the highest traffic river in the country and one of the longest. Did you know that it flows for nearly 400 miles? It reaches the Catskills all the way down to the Delaware bay.

It's the longest free-flowing river east of the Mississippi.

Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and even New York pulled together to help cut the pollution that went into the Delaware river.

American Rivers has named the Delaware River the best river in the country for the year 2020. You can read their enlightening report right here! American Rivers is a longstanding environmentalist group, they aim to protect wild rivers, restores damaged rivers, and conserves clean water for people and nature.

Since so many people have come together to help clear the Delaware river of its pollution, it's almost unrecognizable from what we knew. Today, a resurgence of wildlife and cleaner water has turned the Delaware River into one of the most incredible ecosystems in the country.
