This Is Britney Spears’ Favorite Song Of Hers Of All Time
Britney Spears is declaring her new favorite song from her discography. The pop star previously shared that her favorite was 2003’s “The Hook Up” from her In the Zone album. Now, the “Hold Me Closer” singer, 41, shared an old video of her dancing to another song that has taken the number one spot.
Spears wrote in her Instagram caption (which she deleted less than 24 hours later): “This is a repost from Maui last year !!! I know it’s not that great BUT the song is my favorite song I’ve ever done !!!” The song she played in the clip was 2007’s “Get Naked (I Got a Plan)” from her Blackout album. Spears adds: “It was really weird because my dancers took the stage for this song. Oh well !!! I listened to this song today and actually realized it for the first time.”
The singer went on to allude to how her 13-year conservatorship prevented her from realizing her love for the The Blackout album sooner. “I guess it was all those rules you know !!!” she continued. “Guess all those rules and not having a voice for 13 years in what I wanted gave a lot of people a thrill ride !!! Oh well !!! Psss no wonder I quit the business JUST SAYING !!!”

Britney hasn’t released any music since her 2016 record Glory. Last year, she collaborated with Elton John for “Hold Me Closer,” which peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is a spin on John’s 1971 classic “Tiny Dancer.” Since then, she has made it clear on multiple occasions that she has no plans on returning to the industry and would rather lead a private life with her husband, Sam Asghari. In September, she said that the conservatorship and its fallout had left her feeling that she would rather “s— in [her] f—ing pool than join the entertainment business.”
