Wings have to be my favorite food. I am one of those people who get wings as my main entrée at dinner.

I’ll order multiple sauces and create my own mix sometimes. If the wing is crispy and tender, I’ll keep on coming back.

Luckily we don’t have to travel far for some of the best wings in the country as one spot in right here in Wilmington!

We also have tons of wings available to us in the Northeast as well!

As someone who lived near Buffalo, NY(the home of the chicken wing) for 3 years…I am super critical when it comes to the fried chicken.

Just a short drive down the road in Wilmington you will find some of the best cripsy boys in the country.

Enjoy Travel released their 50 Best Places for Chicken Wings In The USA and a Delaware restaurant was ranked 8th overall!

“Whats better than just wings? Wings as a starter before a great pizza of course. The . only downside with these amazing wings is they appear only as a special or during big games. Get ’em while you can or start lobbying for them to be on the menu full time because they really are that good” Enjoy Travel says about Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza!

On top of them being crispy and tender the sauce is the boss.

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in Wilmington offers Mike’s Hot Honey wings!

Mike’s Hot Honey is incredible on pizza and is even better on wings. The sauce is very self explanatory.

Delia Foley’s in Maryland, Dolsot House in Cherry Hill,  and Joe’s Famous Wings and Weiners in Pennsylvania all made the 50 Best Places for Chicken Wings In The USA list.

The best wings in the country according to Enjoy Travel are at Island Wing Company in Mobile, Alabama.

Delaware's Best Chicken Wings Are Found In Wilmington

Sure, the entire state of Delaware may be known for chicken.  Albeit, this Wilmington restaurant has been named superior when it comes to chicken wings.  Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza & Wings has been named as Delaware’s Best Chicken Wings by Eat This Not That.

Another reason we love Anthony’s is that they have two locations here in the First State.  One location right here in Wilmington, and a second location in Pike Creek.

The roasted chicken wings are fresh, never frozen jumbo wings, served with focaccia bread.  Order them the original way and they’ll be topped with caramelized onions.  Or you can ask for a spicy, sweet and salty dry rub, or a classic buffalo or garlic and Romano sauce.

If you haven’t tried these wings, you have to make the trip.  They really are delicious, especially paired with a cold beer during a football game.
