Brandywine Town Center in Wilmington to Demolish Restaurant
The Brandywine Town Center in Wilmington, Delaware, which is home to Target, Christmas Tree Shop, Regal Cinema Movies, and many other restaurants and retail storefronts, will undergo future renovations, demolish a restaurant and other buildings, and expand the area and bring in more businesses.
Acadia Realty Trust, who owns the Brandywine Town Center, filed exploratory plans with New Castle County in January 2023. According to Delaware Live, all of these redevelopment plans are thanks to the feedback of the public.
Some of the notable changes coming to Brandywine Town Center in Wilmington, Delaware are the demolition of Red Robin and the old community building, as well as the reconstruction to introduce seven new buildings surrounding the pond outside of Red Robin currently. The community building will be rebuilt, and it is not disclosed as of now whether Red Robin will be relocating or closing for good in that area.
The central pond in Brandywine Town Center currently attracts families, couples, and solo walkers alike who wish to get some exercise and enjoy the quiet walkways. These paved pathways will also undergo renovation, to make them wider and rerouted to new buildings.
Seven new buildings will be constructed to bring in new restaurants and retail storefronts. They have already gotten potential interest from businesses. Furthermore, the playground which currently sits outside the pond will be torn down and relocated.
The plans are still in the approval process.
