Iconic Newark Bakery Opened A Dine-In Location Before Christmas
We love a good pastry. We love it even more when it’s paired with a great cup of coffee. That’s why we were stoked to hear news of an Iconic Newark Bakery that Opened A Dine-In Location Before Christmas.
Bing’s Bakery is an iconic Newark bakery and the longest running bakery in Delaware. They have been proudly serving customers since 1871.
You didn’t misread that. Yes, they have been around since 1871.
It was originally called Fader’s Bakery. Russell and Selena Bing purchased the bakery from the Fader’s in 1946 and changed the name to Bing’s Bakery. In 2005, head baker Tom Guzzi and his wife, Carla, purchased Bing’s Bakery.
Bing’s has been a staple for so long that everyone in Delaware knows their name.

If you haven’t been to Bing’s yet, it’s time to make a stop.
But the big news is the new location.
Tom and Carla Guzzi were set to open Bing’s Bake and Brew on Dec. 4. Located at 57 S. Main St. in Newark.
The new concept is all about great coffee drinks and some of Bing’s most popular treats.
The Guzzi’s are seeing a lot of foot traffic from local commuters and UDel students, according to Delaware Today.
Bing’s Bake and Brew is in the old Saxby’s Coffee space next door to Claymont Steak Shop.
This Iconic Newark Bakery is even featuring a Taylor Swift inspired coffee called “Lavendar Haze”.
Bing’s Bake and Brew had its grand opening in February and is welcoming new customers every day.
