Taylor Swift Night One At The Linc

Friday May 12, 2023 was the perfect night in South Philadelphia at the home of the Eagles, Lincoln Financial Field! Undeniably, this first of 3 consecutive sold out shows at the Philly sports complex would make this a significantly historic Mothers Day Weekend!

“Whether you are aware of it or not, you have walked into my hometown show”!

Taylor made it very clear that because she grew up in Wyomissing PA, that like her Dad, she is a Philadelphia Eagles fan!  Later in the show referencing the lyrics from “Gold Rush” she said “And I love the band the Eagles, but guys like come on, like I’m from Philly, of course it’s the team!”

“I see me padding across your wooden floorsWith my Eagles T-shirt hanging from the door”

Additionally, she went on to say that she spent her whole childhood watching Eagles games on Sunday’s with her Dad, Scott Swift (a University of Delaware grad!)  She added that she never thought she would be playing sold-out shows in the Birds stadium.

The long Taylor Swift Weekend actually started on Thursday when thousands of Swifties lined up in one of the Linc’s parking lots to obtain wearable merch for the shows.

Swifies started arriving at the Linc early Friday and enjoyed the sunny 85 degree weather!  Perfect for concert “pre-gaming”!  Meanwhile, wall to wall Taylor music was heard across every parking lot!

Legendary South Philly Restaurant Launches Taylor Swift Menu

Legendary South Philly Restaurant Launches Taylor Swift Menu

This weekend will be unforgettable!

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour descends upon Lincoln Financial Field for THREE shows!

That’s almost 70k people a night and 210k people total descending upon the home of the Eagles.

Merch stands will be packed, bars will be jammed, and tailgates will be epic.

But where will all the Swifties eat while in town?

They can eat at Ralph’s!

Ralph’s Italian Restaurant is a legendary eatery in South Philadelphia and has been around since 1900!

“In an industry where a five-year-run is considered successful, Ralph’s has withstood the test of time, having survived the Great Depression, prohibition, two World Wars and 19 American Presidents—one of which dined at the establishment: Theodore Roosevelt. In fact, President Joe Biden frequently dined at Ralph’s when he was representing Delaware in the Senate” according to Ralph’s website.

Even old blue eyes Frank Sinatra has dined inside of Ralph’s.

Ralph’s has also played host to Taylor Swift in the past. She stopped by the Italian eatery with Ed Sheeran back in 2013.

Ralph’s still hold this moment in high regard and announced the would be switching up their menu in order to feed all the Swifties…and in hopes Tay Tay comes back for a quick bite.

They posted “We’re so excited that @taylorswift is coming back to Philadelphia that we’ve renamed some of our classic dishes in her honor. Pictures are from 2013 when she dined with us. We hope she comes back to Ralph’s” on their Instagram.

You can check out the picture of Taylor and Ed having dinner inside Ralph’s here.

The special Swifties menu covers all bases ahead of The Eras Tour. So the question is: what are you eating?
