What's In The WJBR Concert Crate - We Have A Winner!
The weekend of April 29th was full of intrigue in the Delaware and Brandywine Valley! But no more intriguing than it was along the Christina River on the Wilmington Riverfront!
A mysterious plywood box had a singular item placed within it. It was sealed shut and decorated with Taylor Swift's likeness!
And then under cover on the back of a flatbed, the crate was delivered and suspended by 2 shipyard cranes high above Dravo Plaza on the Wilmington Riverfront Walk.
This is what became known as the WJBR Concert Crate! On air, WJBR told listeners to go see the crate and take a selfie with it. And to send that selfie to us at wjbr.com or from the JBR Mobile App. Selfie senders received special clues.
For almost 2 weeks listeners called in and asked clue questions. They took their educated guesses at to what was in the concert crate!
The person who was lucky caller 13 and to figure it out would win the hottest ticket in town...tickets to see Taylor Swift's Era's Tour May 14, 2023 at Lincoln Financial Field.

Amanda immediately went to the riverfront and sent WJBR a selfie, and got the clue that what was in the box was edible.
She thought it would be Pennsylvania and Taylor related and the thought of it being a pretzel did cross her mind early in the contest.
The "selfie clue" with the map of the Reading area pointed her in the right direction. By 9am this morning she figured out it was something from the Tom Sturgis Pretzels Factory in Reading PA, not far at all from where Taylor grew up!
Earlier guesses helped her narrow her guess down to Tom Sturgis Specials...and Tom Sturgis Dutch Style Pretzels! (of course, one of Taylor's hits is "Style")

Amanda has been a Taylor Swift fan since 2006, and saw Taylor on her last visit to Lincoln Financial Field during 2018's Reputation Tour.
...and now she will be enjoying the Era's Tour at the Linc with her sister Genesis!
