Newark Free Spring Concert Series Is In Full Effect
As of last week, the Newark Free Spring Concert Series Is In Full Effect. Thursday, May 4th, the City of Newark Parks and Recreation Department kicked off the series.
It seems like the cooler weather has passed and the sun is ready to shine. Though, we may be battling some rain here and there, for the most part it seems like April showers are behind us.
As soon as the warm air starts sticking around, everyone wants to be outside. Grab a blanket and come sit on the lawn and listen to some great tunes with your family.
Get the kids out of the house and have an evening out in the fresh air.

You can enjoy fabulous music by local musicians every Thursday this spring from 7pm to 8pm through June 8th.
Grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby restaurants. Do some shopping at the boutiques on Main Street. Then, round everyone up and gather at the Academy Building lawn in downtown Newark and get ready to enjoy some great music.
This program is supported, in part by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts In partnership with the National Endowment of the Arts, these programs are made possible to the public in many communities.
If you are a musician or you know of one who may be interested in performing, you can email parksrec@newark.de.us for more info.
