Cape May Brewing Is Acquiring One Of Their Top Competitors
NJ Beer Company Cape May Brewing Is Acquiring One Of Their Top Competitors
Craft beer gained a whole new audience over the last several years. Especially after the height of the pandemic, when people quickly realized it’s not that easy to make your own beer and make it good.
Craft breweries are popping up all over the place and they are all known for their own specialty.
Cape May Brewing has been a local favorite for over a decade. Flying Fish has been around even longer. Recently, they decided to merge.
Cape May Brewing is be acquiring one of their top competitors; Flying Fish.
On their website they announced, “We are excited to announce our plans to acquire the assets of fellow New Jersey craft brewer, Flying Fish Brewing Company. This acquisition represents the union of our two brands – ones that charted the course for craft brewing in New Jersey with a shared foundation of entrepreneurial spirit, strong local pride, passion for innovation, and a deep appreciation for brand fans.”
There is no information included on whether the beers will all remain or if the list of options will change.
There is also no word on how branding will work, if Flying Fish will exist as it’s own entity or if Cape May Brewing will be on every label from here on out.
Needless to say, we’re excited to see what will happen from here.
