Philly Restaurant Serves Up A Pasta Water Martini

We've seen some creative cocktails pop up on menus over the past few years.

Whether it be names of the cocktail or ingredients, restaurants and cocktail bars keep us on our feet.

I just snagged some reservations for a restaurant I have been trying to get into for months.

There is nothing I love more than pasta on a nice Philly night. The city is bussing and I am putting down red sauce and fresh angel hair.

Pasta is meant to be paired with spirits or wine. They go together like Hall and Oates, Loggins and Messina, Bert and Ernie.

So as I Google the menu for Fiorella in South Philly my eye jumps to one particular item.

That was the Dirty Pasta Water Martini.

The cocktail includes your choice of gin or vodka, olives, and of course pasta water.

The drink will run you $16 on top of the meal.

The creative cocktails and names don't stop there.

They also have the Pearant Trap featuring spice pears and The Banana Stand made with bananas and chocolate bitters

Fiorella is another restaurant owned by celebrity Chef Marc Vetri.

According to their website Fiorella "In a nod to the rich history of Fiorella, Marc kept as much of the storefront intact as possible and restored most of the space to it’s original grandeur. Because of this, the Fiorella you see today is still the intimate space you’re used to. Seating options include our outdoor patio and indoor dining, where you will find a selection of antipasti, pasta, and dessert. Marc brings decades of technique and experience to the small space, creating a truly unique dining experience. "

Fiorella is located at 817 Christian St, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
