Lily Ramos, a nursing student at the University of Delaware competed on The Price is Right! She was chosen to "come on down!" Ramos was hoping to win big, to help wipe away some, or all, of her student loans. The UDaily reported Ramos said, "I’m thankful to my mom and dad for supporting me and paying for part of my college, but I did have to take out loans to pay for my education, and that’s something I’m worried about in the back of mind and in the future."

Lily auditioned in a UD Nursing shirt, representing the first state and all her college colleagues. Earlier today, the episode aired with Ramos, and she won the showcase showdown! She won a smart white board, valued at $3,520, which got her onto the stage to play the Grocery Game. She had the chance to take home $30,000 in that game but ended up only taking $30. She played more.

When spinning the Big Wheel, she landed on the best possible outcome, $1.00. That single spin won her $1,000 and the opportunity to play in the Showcase Showdown. Lily ended up winning $50,845, including an amazing showcase. She won a trip to South Africa, Rome, and other destinations.

Nowadays, gratuity is sometimes automatically charged for you, but most of the time it is up to your own discretion to tip. This rule applies across all 50 states.
