According to Insider.
“Bed Bath & Beyond’s tumultuous few months have included massive losses, executive shakeups, a major activist investor selling his stake, and the death of its former CFO. The retailer had been teetering on the edge of bankruptcy before it raised roughly $225 million in an equity offering — the company said Tuesday that it also anticipates receiving another $800 million in future installments” Insider reports.
Bed Bath & Beyond will reduce its store count to 360 total stores. This will drastically reduce its footprint down from 760 stores.
In 2018 there were 1,017 Bed Bath & Beyond locations in total.
