The Chicken Or The Egg has branched out into a new location after years of being on Long Beach Island.
It is located at 121 Route 70 in The Shoppes at Renaissance Square in Malrton.
The original location opened in 1991 and the new location recently opened on February 6th.
"Marlton’s new 9,449-square-foot restaurant features an indoor space with 275 seats and a bar lined with televisions. Its outdoor space seats 200 guests and features a second bar, lounge seats and fire pits" according to NJ.com.
In 2017, restaurateur Rob LaScala, owner of the LaScala Restaurant Group, purchased The Chicken or the Egg, known as The Chegg, from the Cohen family because Mark Cohen felt he was ready for some R&R after three decades of dedication to this widely popular landmark.
Having started in the hospitality business many years ago in Ocean City, Rob, passionate about unique, beloved beach town eateries, fell in love with The Chegg and took it over, vowing to keep true to its charm.
"Known for its hearty breakfast and wings, The Chicken or the Egg first opened its doors in 1991 in a small, luncheonette next door to Beach Haven’s landmark Bill’s Barber Shop. The idea was hatched by brothers Mark and Craig Cohen, who moved the restaurant across the street in 1993 when it outgrew its shell" the Courier Post reports.
Locals and fans know the eatery simply as Chegg. The Long Beach Island location is at 207 North Bay Avenue
Beach Haven, NJ 08008 and is BYOB.
The Marlton location features two full service bars and a beer garden with luxurious couches with tables and fire pits and live music occasionally

'Eat This Not That" worked with Yelp by analyzing their Breakfast + Brunch category.
Yelp said:
