I Know What You Did Last Summer Sequel
We all know the 1990’s slasher film and now we can relive the nostalgia with the I Know What You Did Last Summer Sequel.
That’s right, a followup is currently in the works. The original film was followed by I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) andI’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer(2006)
I Know What You Did Last Summer was released theatrically on October 17, 1997.
The original movie follows four young friends bound by a tragic accident who are reunited when they find themselves being stalked by a hook-wielding maniac in their small seaside town.
It was a global hit and helped launch the careers of Hewitt, Prinze, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe.
Plot details for the upcoming installment are unknown. Neal H Moritz is also in talks to return as producer.
According to BloodyDisgusting.Com another sequel may be in the works with original cast members!
While, Amazon Prime’s I Know What You Did Last Summer series didn’t quite take off, we’re hoping this will.
The biggest news here? Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., who starred in the original movie, are in talks to reprise their roles for the new one.
Sadly, Delaware’s own Ryan Phillippe is not rumored to be featured in the film as far as we know.
Currently, Phillippe has been working on The Locksmith with Kate Bosworth. The film follows a thief (Phillippe) fresh out of prison, tries to work his way back into the life of his daughter and ex-fiancé.
