Delaware’s Adam Blackstone Is Directing Rihanna’s Halftime Show
Delaware’s Adam Blackstone is directing Rihanna’s halftime show which is going to prove to be epic.
Originally from Trenton, Adam won’t have to root on the Birds from his Middletown home…he’ll be at the big game!
Adam will be the musical director for the halftime entertainment in the Chiefs and Eagles Super Bowl.
Blackstone told Billboard that Rihanna’s halftime show is going to be memorable. “The story that she wants to tell is, ‘Let’s be epic.’ Let’s let this be a moment in time that people will have never seen or heard before. We’re forcing the concert in the middle of the biggest sporting event in the world.” according to Billboard.
Blackstone has worked with Rihanna on her Savage X Fenty clothing line as well.
“The team that she has assembled, it sounds cliché and churchy, but we know all things are possible when it comes to her. If she has an idea, it pushes us to execute it without limits. I don’t know if we can pinpoint and say ‘This is where it can go’ because it has the ability and the power to go anywhere” Adam told Billboard in an interview.
Rumors have been swirling on who will join Rihanna on stage. Right now the betting favorite is Jay-Z.
Action Network also thinks Drake and Calvin Harris could be joining Rihanna on stage. “Calvin Harris (-175) and Rihanna collaborated for This Is What You Came For and We Found Love, one of which figures to be on the setlist. At minus money, this is a hard sell, and Rihanna seldom brings DJs out as cameos. Drake (-150) has worked with Rihanna on several tracks, including What’s My Name, Take Care, Too Good and others. While What’s My Name is the only one on their discography that’s a favorite to be played first or last, there’s enough history between the two to see him on stage.”
The Super Bowl kicks off this Sunday at 6:30pm on FOX.
