Alyssa Milano Apologizes To Britney Spears Over ‘Bullying’ Tweet
Alyssa Milano is apologizing to Britney Spears after the singer called her out publicly on Instagram this week. The Charmed actress tweeted back in December: “Someone please go check on Britney Spears.” At this time, Spears’ Instagram page was deactivated, leaving fans to speculate about her safety.

Fast forward to this week, and the “Hold Me Closer” singer shared on her Instagram Story a screenshot of Milano’s tweet. Spears wrote over it: “It saddens me to see things about me from people who don’t know me!!! This definitely feels like a form of bullying!!!” She added, “Ladies, we are supposed to be rooting for one another not pulling one another down!!!”

Per gossip website TMZ, a rep for the Who’s the Boss? alum said she reached out to Spears privately on Wednesday (February 1) to apologize via a “private message.” It’s unclear if Britney reacted to Alyssa’s apology, or what exactly Alyssa said in her message. However, the gossip site confirms that Alyssa expressed support for Britney in her correspondence.

As we previously reported, fans called the police to Spears’ house last week for a welfare check following the deletion of her Instagram page. After deputies were dispatched to her Thousand Oaks home, they determined there was no reason to believe she was in danger. Spears issued a statement to her fans following the incident, saying, “As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.” She also posted a video to Twitter (which has since been deleted) of her in the gym, confirming she was “alive” and “well.”
