Rutter’s Convenience Store Is Expanding To Delaware
I know we are all staunch WaWa supporters but Rutter’s convenience store is expanding to Delaware.
Rutter’s absolutely rocks. But let me be clear…WaWa is still king!
According WTAJ “Rutter’s announced ‘aggressive’ expansion plans for the next five years which consists of expanding further into Pennsylvania – east near Philadelphia, west of Pittsburg, and north of Altoona.
According to Rutter’s, in addition to Pennsylvania’s expansion, they also plan to expand throughout parts of:
- Maryland
- West Virginia
- Delaware
- Virginia
All in all, Rutter’s is planning to build an additional 50 new stores in the next five years – more than 10 of those new stores are being constructed in new markets.”
The new locations will be equipped with multiple features like large walk in beer caves which will be set at a perfect 29 degrees. They will also include wine options, seating for 30 dine-in customers, and 24-hour service.
“The Rutter family has a long and rich agricultural heritage in York, Pennsylvania, dating back over 270 years. In fact, Rutter’s is the oldest vertically integrated food company in the country.
In 1747, the Rutter family farm was instituted in York and still operates to this day. Then in 1921, George and Bud Rutter started their own dairy, the Rutter Bros. Dairy, selling milk and other dairy products to the local area. Further expanding the business, the family’s 2nd generation founded Rutter’s convenience stores” according to Rutter’s website.
Rutter’s made to order food include expansive breakfast, lunch, and dinner options as well as a plethora of delicious drinks options.
Speaking from experience they also have amazing bathrooms.
Twenty-one of Rutter’s Pennsylvania locations have video gaming terminals, which makes it the largest licensed gambling operator in the state that isn’t a casino, according to the company.
