As the Birds prepare for another battle this weekend it has been revealed that 20% of Eagles fans would skip their wedding for a big game win.
Yep! Skip the “most important day of their lives” to watch the most important team in their lives win another Super Bowl.
A press release told us what we kind of already knew: A recent survey revealed that 1 in 5 of The Birds fans admitted they would trade a wedding ring for a Super Bowl ring on their big day, with more than a quarter opting for watching NFL over a romantic Valentine’s Day with their partner.
The study, conducted by BonusFinder.com, surveyed over 1,000 fans from across the US to uncover which players they find most attractive, how they would like to spend their Valentine’s Day, and what were their deal breakers when it comes to dating other football fans.
Vikings fans were the most likely to leave their partners all alone at the altar. The team has yet to win a Super Bowl…SO I kind of get why.
Eagles fandom doesn’t just stop at the Super Bowl though.
Birds fans were ranked first overall when it comes to Valentine’s Day.
That means 27% of Eagles fans would rather spend V-Day watching the Birds soar to victory over going out to a romantic dinner or evening.
“The percentage of Iggles supporters who admitted that their significant other would come second was the highest number in all 32 NFL fan bases. They finished ahead of Seattle Seahawks fans (24.5%), Cleveland Browns (21.9%), Tennessee Titans (19.6%) and Buffalo Bills (18.8%)” according to Bonus Finder.
The Eagles will take on the 49ers this Sunday at 3 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philly. Catch all the action on FOX.
