The popular family-friendly state park of Lums Pond, Delaware, has submitted a renovation and construction plan to build more cabins on their property site. The new project will take place at the Southeasterly corner of Summit Bridge Road and Howell School Road. It will replace two existing cabins and construct twelve new cabins for a total of 14 cabins with associated site improvements (Source).

Lums Pond is home to many fishers, families, kayakers, paddle boats, bass boats, paddle boards, and so many other outdoor recreational activities. The state park is also home to camping, both tent and cabin style. With the expansion of new cabins and a renovation of the existing cabins, there will be more room for parkgoers to live in the great outdoors.

They've also made other renovations to their campground recently. The park offers three-point hookups including water, electricity, and sewer. There are also four horse campsites. These horse campsites currently do not include hookups. Yurts are also available for those who enjoy a bed, a double sized futon, a double bunk bed, and outdoor deck.

One of the most exhilarating experiences at Lums Pond, is the zipline! According to the Lums Pond State Park site, "You can zip through the trees at Go Ape's Adventure Park and glide right over the Pond. If that's not your speed, you can also take up an adventure of horseback riding at Sunset Stables, or dock your boat at Summit North Marina and grab a bite to eat at Grain H2O."
