YoUDee wasn’t the only mascot who competed and finished high over the weekend. Secondary mascot Baby Blue from UD finished third overall in the Open Macot Division. Villanova’s Will D. Cat finished 5th overall. West Chester’s Rammy finished 8th.
Mascots needed to submit short videos of a skit to be judged. They were judged on crowd appeal, creativity, musicality, animation, enthusiasm, prop usage, and overall impression.
Things like smoke machines and fireworks were not allowed in the videos and props were very strictly judged.
Did you know that YoUDee now has a collectible bobblehead?
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has released an officially licensed, limited-edition Delaware Blue Hens YoUDee mascot in conjunction with National Bobblehead Day, celebrated Jan. 7 each year.
