Delaware’s Aubrey Plaza Will Host Saturday Night Live
Another season of the legendary show is approaching and Delaware’s Aubrey Plaza will host Saturday Night Live.
Another successful television run for Aubrey Plaza has been rewarded with a chance to host Saturday Night Live.
Saturday Night Live, in it’s 48th season, will see Plaza make her hosting debut on the January 21st episode. Sam Smith will be the musical guest.
Michael B. Jordan will also make his hosting debut on January 28th.
Plaza, originally from Wilmington and an Ursuline graduate, was recently in the area for a book tour!
She stopped by the Rockwood Museum to chat about her book The Legend of the Christmas Witch.
So what’s the book about? Here’s a short synopsis:
After centuries trapped in her icy chamber, the snow is finally melting, and Kristtörn awakens. She finds that the holiday she loved is now controlled by the mysterious Kringle Corporation. She embarks on a journey to a world unknown to her, where she meets the inventive young Poppy and sweet old reindeer Donner, who agree to help her restore Christmas to its former glory. Little do they know that she wants more than order . . . she wants revenge.
Aubrey Plaza has also just come off another successful season of the super popular White Lotus on HBO.
White Lotus “is a sharp social satire following the exploits of various employees and guests at an exclusive Hawaiian resort over the span of one highly transformative week. As darker dynamics emerge with each passing day, the six-episode first season gradually reveals the complex truths of the seemingly picture-perfect travelers, cheerful hotel employees, and idyllic locale itself.”
Plaza stars besides Jennifer Coolidge, John Gries, Michael Imperioli, and Theo James. You can stream the first two seasons now!
