Deanna and Justin Talk Life-Saving CPR With The American Heart Association
In light of recent events in the NFL involving Damar Hamlin and the Buffalo Bills Deanna and Justin and WJBR thought it would be useful to go over life-saving CPR methods.
Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest this past Monday night after a routine hit during Monday Night Football. Trainers and first responders jumped into action to try and save the Bills player’s life. This traumatic event has brought attention to how someone can respond to a loved one, friend, colleague, etc. who is experiencing a cardiac event.
Dave Morris spoke with Deanna and Justin in the Morning on the difference between cardiac arrest and heart attacks, myths behind CPR, and how you can help save someone’s life with a few steps. Dave is the Executive Director of the American Heart Association Delaware.
