Ocean City Comic Con Is This Weekend

The holidays are here but there’s still time to nerd out a bit as the Ocean City Comic Con is this weekend!

The Comic Con will be this weekend on December 10th and their site bills it as a great time!

“We’re coming back for 2022 with all the vendors, guests, cosplay, panels, video games, and screenings you’ve come to love and we’ll be adding some new surprises and more space as well. Be sure to tune into our social media pages for the latest updates, contests, and more!”

The Comic Con will be at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center 4001 Coastal Hwy. Ocean City, MD 21842
This Saturday  December 10th 2022 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Kids 9 years old and younger are free with a paying adult, you will recieve $1 off if you are in Costume, and $1 off with a non-perishable food item for Diakonia. Tickets will be available at the door.

There will be lightsaber training sessions for kids AND adults! As well as panels regarding special effects makeup.

Panels on Cartoon Network shows, how to become a mad scientist, and voice acting will be spread throughout the day.

You can also see a replica of K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, a replica of Daryl’s motorcycle from The Walking Dead, and the 1966 Batmobile!

There will also be a huge cosplay competition! “There are two categories kids (12 and under), and adults (13+). We have a HUGE assortment of prizes for first, second, and third place in both categories, plus every kid who enters will go home with a prize. But win or lose, enter the contest or not, everyone wins because coming to the con in costume will get you $1 off your admission.”

It’s that time of year again! Get out the decorations and maybe add some of these Delaware themed ornaments to your tree.

How cool would an all Delaware tree be?  We might be on to something here for the WJBR studio.  We are Delaware’s Christmas Station after all.
