Wilmington Pastry Chef Competing On Greatest Baker Contest
Laura DelPercio, a former Pastry Chef, is competing in the Greatest Baker Contest. She has made it to the Quarterfinals after 4 weeks of elimination rounds. Online voting has begun and will run through December 29, when the winner will be determined.
The Greatest Baker is an online, public voting competition hosted by celebrity bakers Alice Fervonia and Sophie Faldo, both finalists from past seasons of the Great British Bake Off.
“I’m excited to be competing in the Quarterfinals for the Greatest Baker Contest,” said Laura DelPercio. “It’s been an exciting journey to get here, and I’m grateful for all the support I’ve received. I’m looking forward to the next round of competition and hope to win the $10,000 prize and a spread in Baked From Scratch Magazine.”
Laura began her career training with a Swiss Master Pastry Chef. Later she trained at the International School of Confectionary Arts in Gaithersburg, MD. Laura worked for years as a pastry chef in local Country Clubs then opened her own business.
Voting is open to the public and hero votes can also be cast. Proceeds from hero votes will go to the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation.
