Take a Tour Inside The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile
Take a Tour Inside The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile with Deanna and Justin!
When Deanna received an email from an official Hotdogger named Chili Cheez Keagz, she couldn’t contain her excitement. She and Justin quickly started working to get the Weinermobile in the WJBR parking lot and get those hotdoggers on the air!
Deanna & Justin visited them at the Acme on Centerville Rd in Wilmington on Wednesday, November 30th 2022. This was one of the two stops that the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile would be making this week in Wilmington.
They met, they toured, they bonded over meat and FRANKly, they had a great time.
Chili Cheez Keagz and Chadder Cheese are Hotdoggers. Hotdoggers are drivers of the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile. The iconic 27-foot-long vehicle was in Wilmington this week sparking miles of smiles at local Acme Grocery Stores.
Keagan and Chad are two of the very lucky 12 folks that are chosen each year to drive the Weinermobile across the country. They visit different areas and share stories of the Oscar Mayer history.
Oscar F. Mayer started as a butcher’s boy in 1873 then found a job in meatpacking. He opened his first shop 10 years later at the age of 24.
The Weinermobile was launched in 1936 during the Great Depression as a way to lift the country’s spirits.
It quickly became a national icon. In 1988 they started touring the country with a fleet of weinermobiles.
