WJBR’s Christmas Flips Over The Years
WJBR’s Christmas flips over the years have evolved a bit as the flip on average seems to be happening earlier in November than a decade ago!
Once again this year, WJBR played “Guess The Flip” with you, where the listener to guess the date and closest time to the flip wins $500!
Congrats to Debra from Maple Shade, NJ who guessed 10:03am on November 9, 2022. Well we flipped at 10:02 and Debra was only a minute off and wins the $500! If you played “Guess The Flip”, thanks for playing and listening!
Listener Laurie Lorraine Poist Hutchinson has been paying close attention to WJBR’s Christmas flips over the years! So much so that she has a post it note with every date and time going back more than a decade! She sent it to WJBR’s Mike Rossi and here is a photo of it!
Let’s take a look at those flip times and dates!

- 11/3/20 6:05am–This is the earliest date we’ve ever done it. It was in the middle of Covid and a very controversial election day. We felt it was important to start spreading much needed cheer and joy that day!
- 11/11/21 10:00am
- 11/9/22 10:02am–This year’s flip was the second earliest we’ve done it and of course, it is received with mixed reviews.
WJBR is one of the nations originators of the non-stop Christmas music format. We started the tradition of playing all Christmas music starting in November back in 2004. It’s become Delaware Valley tradition!
WJBR signed on the air in January of 1957 and has been featuring Christmas music every year since then!
Thanks for being part of the joy and cheer!
