Crimson Moon Has Re-Opened In Wilmington
After a fire in 2021 Crimson Moon has Re-Opened in Wilmington.
According to WHYY ,”a fire broke out in the club’s second floor, causing extensive damage to the area that plays host to the club’s weekend drag shows. The first-floor bar area and basement also suffered water damage as firefighters put out the fire” in the late hours of November 28, 2021.
At the time of the original article no foul play was suspected and the cause of the fire hadn’t been determined. A GoFundMe for the club raised almost $10,000 for the fire ridden restaurant.
Sadly, the damage to Crimson Moon in Wilmington was extensive and according to the GoFundMe “Unfortunately the damage caused by the fire and the attempts to extinguish the flames also destroyed nearly every piece of inventory and equipment inside the 2nd floor.”
The first floor and second floor received water damage due to firefighters battling the blaze.
Crimson Moon re-opened this past weekend on Friday night and according to Facebook the crowd was amazing.
Crimson Moon’s Instagram showed a grateful and hopeful message “Words cannot express how happy we are to have you all back! Thank you to all the amazing performers, staff, and most importantly patrons who came out this past weekend to make our return one of our largest weekends ever! We’re #backandbetterthanever!”
They also posted a cryptic “The Moon Has Risen” message a few days before their opening.
