Wilmington Welcomes A New Upscale Hotel
You may notice a new business has moved into an old building as Wilmington welcomes a new upscale hotel.
The Quoin has opened its doors inside of a well-known Wilmington building.
The property at 519 Market Street has welcomed the hotel into the Security Trust & Safe Deposit Company Building.
The hotel is considered a boutique hotel and according to the Delaware Business Times the space contains “24 luxury hotel rooms, a lobby fireplace cafe and bar, a 155-seat ground floor restaurant with courtyard dining, a lower-level cocktail lounge, and Wilmington’s first rooftop bar and event space. The Quoin name is derived from the Old French word meaning “corner” or “angle,” a reference to its unique architecture and its place at a central stretch of the Market Street corridor.”
The hotel will have many features that will make guests feel like they have transported themselves somewhere other than Wilmington. The Quoin will feature a rooftop bar and new restaurant.
The rooftop will feature a lounge and a craft cocktail lounge.
The Quoin restaurant “is center stage in our 155-seat restaurant and bar, and our chefs are the masters at work. They’re bringing the borders of Southern France and Northern Italy together in our modern wood-fired fare. The menu puts a contemporary spin on Riviera to Riviera style. Indulge in thoughtfully prepared seasonal specialties built to pair perfectly with our extensive list of old-world wines and craft cocktails” according to their website.
The menu includes grilled pork, veal, pasta, and a wide variety of appetizers, cocktails, and local beers.
You do not need to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy the dining and drinking. You can book a table at The Quoin here.
