Seems everyone in Delaware is talking Eagles and Phillies!

Well, at least in my travels across New Castle County this morning.

I made a few stops at places along Philadelphia Pike this morning.  First stop was the Wawa in Claymont.  You would have thought I walked in to a pre game pep rally!

Almost everyone had on either an Eagles Jersey or a Phillies shirt!

Then I stopped to get gas and at least 3 other people filling up their cars were proudly displaying their Eagles and Phillies attire.

Then just after lunch, I got my midday cup of coffee at the Dunkin’ on Philly Pike and sure enough the 2 people in front of me in line were wearing Eagles or Phillies shirts, and the man behind me had a Philadelphia Union t shirt!

And why not!

Seems everyone in Delaware is talking Eagles and Phillies, and are back to being fans again.  It’s no secret that only the diehard fans follow teams even in the roughest of times when the teams are losing.   It’s been said that winning fixes everything!  When that happens, the not so die hard fans “jump on the band wagon”!

And I say let’s all jump on!

We could really use this great news that unifies a region after the past few years we’ve been through.

It’s certainly no secret that we all have differing opinions on so many things.  And some of these things have divided us as a society.

Perhaps you’ve noticed this with your circle of friends.

I am looking forward to a thrilling Eagles season, and am thrilled we have playoff Phillies baseball again!

And I am most happy that this will bring unity to our region!
