You read it right. University of Delaware is adding a beer brewing class to its schedule. The Foundations of Brewing Science and Brewery Operations will be available to students 21 & over.

According to the Brewers Association, the presence of craft breweries in the United States has increased by 60% since 2016. This new certification program is designed to give students practical knowledge and hands-on experience to equip them with an upper hand when pursuing brewery jobs.

There is also an optional in-person session at a working brewery that includes an optional instructor-led beer tasting.

Sounds like a dream come true right? To sweeten the deal, the program is being led by master brewer Brad Adelson. Adelson is currently brewmaster at Lost Planet Brewing in Royersford, PA.
