Delaware  has launched a new campaign to recruit new workers. The state of Delaware is looking to fill state job openings.

According to WBOC, Delaware is looking to recruit workers to fill jobs that may have taken a hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The goal of the campaign is to strengthen the workforce of state agencies and services according to the Delaware Department of Human Resources.

The campaign will look to recruit quality candidates for openings throughout the state of Delaware. Some of these jobs are in high demand.

Some of these high demand jobs include nurses, corporation specialists, employment services specialists, unemployment insurance claims processors and field agents.

The state will also look to fill vacancies in the fields of vocational rehabilitation counselors, disability determination adjudicators, and law enforcement officers across multiple agencies.

According to the Delaware Department of Human Resources website the U.S. Department of Labor has reported that there are 5.5 million more job openings is the United State than workers available to fill them.

The official campaign kicked off just a few months ago. The Delaware Department of Human Resources says the campaign is designed  to educate jobseekers from Delaware and neighboring states about the variety of positions available, as well as motivate them to “explore, apply, and succeed.”

The Delaware Department of Human Resources is also looking to raise salaries of state employees to be more competitive with the private sector.
