Wrestlemania is Coming to Philadelphia
It’s the moment pro-wrestling fans have been waiting for. Finally, Wrestlemania is coming to Philadelphia.
The annual “Showcase of the Immortals” will make it’s return to Lincoln Financial Field according to The Inquirer.
Wrestlemania recently transitioned from 1 night of action to 2 nights of sports entertainment! The even will take place Saturday April 6th and Sunday April 7th 2024.
This marks the first time the event has come to the City of Brotherly love in 25 years. The main event of the Wrestlemania was The Rock versus Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Wrestlemania has morphed into a week long event for fans far and wide, some who even travel from around the world. Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown will also emanate from Philadelphia.
WWE will also present it’s Hall of Fame inductions at the Wells Fargo Center the week leading up to Wrestlemania.
The convention center will also be home to more fan events and additional matches.
WWE will deliver a little preview on ‘Mania as their “premium live event” Extreme Rules invades the Wells Fargo Center on October 8th of this year.
As someone who has attended multiple WWE events and one Wrestlemania…THIS IS HUGE!
Wrestlemania will not only highlight the amazing city of Philadelphia but will also inject tons of money into the local economy.
The Super Bowl of Wrestling usually takes places somewhere warmer than the Northeast, but us fans had always had some hope! Especially since New York has hosted the “Granddaddy of them All” a few times.
No immediate word on when tickets go on sale, but WWE tends to release ticket and travel packages up to a year before the event as it is very popular and fans plan their vacation around Wrestlemania.
Fans, including myself, have been wondering when the event would return. Finally, Wrestlemania is coming to Philadelphia.
