Empty Vintage Burger King Found Inside Wall of Concord Mall
Many things have been found inside walls of buildings. Usually during a rehab or renovation, you’ll find items from previous owners. No one ever expects to find a whole fast food joint!
Jonathan Pruitt, a vendor at Concord Mall hit a strange jackpot when he found an intact, vintage Burger King behind a wall. His picture was posted to twitter in April and has since gone viral. 6ABC interviewed Concord Mall General Manager, Tom Dahlke. Dahlke thought it was a “surprise [to me] that it has taken off as quickly as it did”. Dahlke said it was “kind of cool to have something that nostalgic here in the building”
Cool is definitely one way to describe it! Imagine all those years you and your friends have spent inside a mall in the 80s and 90s, only to find out years later that there is an abandoned eatery behind the walls. It’s not clear how long that space has been sitting vacant, but they’re hoping to get another tenant- preferably another restaurant- since the space is already laid out for one.
