WATCH: Mix 99.5 WJBR In Wilmington Named Among Honorees at 2022 NAB Service to America Awards
We are so thrilled to share that we were recently honored among the Service To America winners during the 2022 National Association Service to America Awards, on Tuesday, June 6th at the Anthem in Washington, DC.
The annual celebration, presented by the NAB Leadership Foundation (NABLF), the philanthropic arm of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), pays tribute to the outstanding public service commitment of local radio and television broadcasters.
We were selected in the medium market category for our two-day “Help Our Kids Radiothon” which raised a record breaking nearly $400,000 benefit Nemours Children’s Hospital right here in Wilmington. We couldn’t have done this without the support of our amazing listeners in the community.
“It is such a tremendous honor for the company and WJBR-FM to be recognized among the very best at the Service to America Awards,” said Beasley Media Group Chief Executive Officer Caroline Beasley. “This is truly what local radio is all about- making a difference in the communities we serve and underscores the vision in which my late father, George founded our company over 60 years ago.
