Mobile Health Services Coming To Delaware Residents
ChristianaCare is using two vans to bring mobile healthcare to local residents. Many community members are in need of various health services and often do not have the ability to get to an office or hospital.
Thanks to a $1 million grant from Barclays Bank, two vans will be medical offices on wheels. They are equipped with exam rooms and can provide the below services:
- vaccinations
- OB-GYN services
- behavioral and mental health appointments
- diabetic retinopathy screenings
- sports physicals.
ChristianaCare hopes to serve over 30,000 patients and administer over 15,000 vaccines.
