The Delaware Champions which is made up of players from different areas of Delaware, will be competing in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament for a chance to advance on to the Little League World Series. The players on this team come from Canal Little League.

Matt Hooke of the Newark Post reported their “coach said most of the players have played together since they were 8-year-olds. They have won district championships at 8,9,10 and 12, along with state championships at 10 and 12.”

Canal Little League will play their first game in the regional tournament in Connecticut on Sunday at 10am against the New Jersey State Champions. This game will be televised on ESPN+.

Canal Little League team to represent Delaware in regional tournament

The Canal Little League 12u Baseball All-Stars, based in Glasgow, Bear and other areas south of Newark, won the Delaware state championship, earning a spot in the regional competition for a chance to go to Williamsport for the Little League World Series. Coach Kristin Caldwell said most of the players have played together since they were 8-year-olds.
