Scientists Discover “Mega Comet” Flying Into Solar System
Astronomers discovered something huge heading into our solar system. The massive comet is known as 2014 UN271, and it will reach the orbit of Saturn in 2031. According to NewScientist.com, it could potentially be the biggest body from outer parts of our solar system to ever come this close in contact with the sun.
According to FoxNews.com, the comet is the same size as a dwarf planet. It could be estimated between 81 to 230 miles in diameter. At this current time, it is orbiting somewhere around Neptune. The Weather Channel has added that even at it’s closest point it will still seem far away. We most likely won’t be able to see it, even with a telescope.
