Britney Spears: Justin Timberlake & More Voice Support in Ending Conservatorship
Britney Spears spoke at length via Zoom in a Los Angeles courtroom regarding her 13-year conservatorship today (June 23), which has led to a number of celebrities speaking out in support of Spears.
Spears revealed a number of shocking details during her court hearing, including not being allowed to marry and have children and being forced to keep her IUD implanted.
This led to a number of celebrities taking to social media to voice their support of Spears and ending her conservatorship. One of those celebrities was Spears’ ex, Justin Timberlake, who wrote, “After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right. No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body. No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for. Jess and I send our love, and our absolute support to Britney during this time. We hope the courts, and her family make this right and let her live however she wants to live.”

Bless Britney and I hope with my whole heart she is awarded freedom from this abusive system. She deserves it more than anything. I admire her courage speaking up for herself today.

Her dad, the lawyers, and psychologists who kept her hostage and all while taking her money, shame on you. #FreeBritney

The whole statement is heartbreaking but what stood out most to me is Britney’s family saying she’s “not well enough” to control her money but she’s well enough to keep working so her family can live off her money? She says she wants to sue them & I hope she does #FreeBritney https://t.co/WWvp4zcXKO

We stand in solidarity with Britney and all women who face reproductive coercion. Your reproductive health is your own — and no one should make decisions about it for you. #FreeBritney https://t.co/jkx5ZpOdFT

Whoever was behind this— family members, judges, and doctors included— should be forced into federal prison.

For 13 years, exactly. #FreeBritney https://t.co/w79ZFAX8Ov
A 39 year old woman should not be under any man's control (including her father's). She works, she lives her life, and if she has issues they are hers to deal with. Outrageous and unacceptable to hold her hostage. #FreeBritney

My wish for @britneyspears is that the“team” be banished from her life. The conservatorship ends. She gets married and has a baby. She takes her 3 years off to be with the baby and her family. She answers to no one. They answer to HER bc they WORK FOR HER. #FreeBritney 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
