Airlines Limit Alcohol During Flights Due To Bad Behavior
Looks like we all need to learn to behave ourselves again as society goes back to normal. Over the last year many flights eliminated alcoholic options due to the pandemic. Since people weren’t drinking on flights they took their masks off less and flight attendants didn’t have to do as many rounds to everyone’s seats.
Now, they still haven’t brought it back. And the reason isn’t the pandemic anymore. It is actually because of the poor behavior of so many passengers! According to CBSNews.com, American and Southwest both announced last week that their alcohol suspension will continue. If you fly United however, they are offering beer, wine, and seltzers on domestic flights if you are traveling over 800 miles.
The president of the Flight Attendants union said that the number of incidents on planes are about 20 times would they would be on a typical year. All of these incidents are either violent or include aggressive behavior. It does seem that a majority of the reports include people refusing to wear their masks.
