Library Book Returned After 64 Years

The Monaghan Town Library in Ireland just had a book returned that was 64 years past due. The book is called, The Hedge and the Horse and it's original checkout date was January 11th, 1957. Now in 2021 the book has finally found it's way home.

Fortunately for the person returning the book, the library waved all late fees back in 2019. According to UPI.com, if they were taking late fees the book would have accumulated about $2,000 worth.
