Philadelphia Fan Throws Popcorn On Russell Westbrook
Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook had something extra to be mad about as he limped to the locker room during Wednesday night’s game (May 26th). A Philadelphia fan dumped popcorn on his head just as he was walking off the court.
At that point in the game not only was Westbrook injured, but he was also fairly certain his team would be losing the game. Security had to retrain Westbrook as the incident occurred. The 76ers went on to win the game 120-95. It was the second game in this first round playoff matchup. The 76ers now have a 2-0 lead over the Washington Wizards. So far the first two games of the series have taken place in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. The Sixers will see the Wizards again on Saturday at the Capital One Arena in Washington DC.
The fan who throw the popcorn was removed from the Wells Fargo Center and has also had his season tickets revoked.
