The Mix Morning Show jumpstarted today with the classic track “Run Run Away” by the English band Slade. They blew up in 1973 and achieved 17 consecutive top 20 songs. When they came over to the United States in 1975 they never saw the same success. The band Quiet Riot famously covered their song “Cum On Feel The Noise” in 1983 and it went on to reach the billboard top 5.
Around the time the cover blew up, Kevin Debrow, the lead singer convinced the rest of the band it was time to reform. When they released this song they finally had a top 20 hit in the US in 1983.
