Cocktails To-Go May Become A Permanent Option In Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania may become a state where cocktails to-go are a permanent option for restaurants and taverns.
The option became popular during the lockdown periods of COVID-19.
The state House of Representatives passed the bill Tuesday, which will not move to the state Senate for consideration.
Governor Tom Wolf signed the allowance of mixed drinks to-go on a temporary basis, about a year ago.
According to WTAE, The Pennsylvania Licensed Beverage and Tavern Association stated, “As crazy as this might sound… one of the innovative breakthroughs and bright spots of the year for our industry was the cocktail to-go, something so simple it makes you wonder why licensed establishments couldn’t do this before.”
