The Biebs has officially dropped the dreadlocks! He has been receiving backlash since he first showed off his new look on social media a few weeks ago. The negative reactions were mainly due to claims of cultural appropriation. Justin should have known this would happen, considering he found himself in the exact same situation in 2016 for wearing dreadlocks.
According to Ladbible.com, in Rastafarianism, dreadlocks are known for being a spiritual symbol. When Bieber responded to the criticism in 2016, his response was “Being weird is fun if u r not weird i don’t like you.” One twitter user said he might have gotten away with it if he was “pre-2017 hot again.”
