Megan Fox’s Fear Of Flying Led Her To Turn To Britney Spears
Megan Fox appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show yesterday and revealed that she has a fear of flying.
Clarkson brought up her phobia, adding that she too, used to be terrified of flying and that “this is the worst industry ever to be in with that happening.” Clarkson said she used to take pilot lessons to “kind of” help her overcome her fear.
34-year-old Fox said her fear was never that bad, but while she worked in New York and had her home in Los Angeles, she would fly back and forth every four days. “I’m kind of pushing the statistics now because I’m flying so often. That’s where the fear came from because it’s like, ‘Yeah, you fly twice a year, you’re good.’ But not if you’re flying twice a week. So what I did, and what I recommend to people if you do hit turbulence and you’re like, ‘I don’t like how this feels,’ I would throw on certain music that I just knew I wasn’t gonna die to. For me, that was Britney Spears, like the archives from when I was young like the Oops! album.”
Fox starts singing, “‘I’m not a giiiirl, not yet a woman.’ That’s not the soundtrack to my death. So, that always made me feel better. It’s also like, you’re not going to meet God, like ‘Oh baby, baby,’ and then you’re dead and know all the mysteries of the universe in that moment. So for me, that was really helpful, I do recommend to try it. Just make sure you’re picking music like that, like Backstreet Boys or, ‘It’s Raining Men, hallelujah.’ Ain’t nobody dying to that song, ever. Never have, never will.”
There’s one song that Megan Fox would absolutely never play on a plane, as it would almost be a guaranteed no-go. “You could put on something like Kansas, and then ‘Dust In The Wind’ gets on shuffle, and then you might go down with that song! That should actually be not allowed on airplanes at all. Nobody should ever be allowed to play that song. Have a safety announcement.”

The Transformers star also shows off her nerdy side, saying she grew up reading graphic novels and got into comics because of her older sister used to read the X-men comics. Fox says she doesn’t watch too much television, and spends most of her time reading. One of her favorite things that people have been giving her a hard time about is to go to Harry Potter Land in Universal Studios. She is a “crazy Harry Potter fan,” to which Clarkson interjects that she belongs to Gryffindor, same as Fox. That’s when she started to check Clarkson’s commitment level asking, “Do you have a cape? Do you have scarf? Do you have a coffee mug?” Clarkson replied back, “I literally have everything, Megan.”
Fox stars in an upcoming movie called Till Death.
