Being Positive When Getting COVID Shots Could Boost Immunity
There’s more than one reason to be in a good mood when you’re getting your COVID vaccination. According to CTVNews.com, one of the factors that could be affecting your body’s response to the vaccine is your mood. If you’re in a more positive mood your body’s response will be enhanced.
There aren’t actually any studies yet proving this to be true. However, when you look at vaccinations in general, studies from the past do support the relationship between a positive mood and after effects. Studies from 2017 found these effects with flu shots. On the opposite end, if you are in a negative mood while getting a vaccination it could hinder your immune response.
Keep in mind mood will not change the effectiveness of the vaccination itself. However, being in a positive mood while receiving the shot could greatly effect your immune response to it.
