Florida Wants Moment Of Silence In Schools
Public schools in Florida are looking to start each day with a moment of silence. The legislation passed yesterday (April 22nd) by the state Senate and has already been approved by the state House last month. All that is still needed is a signature from Governor Ro DeSantis. According to MiamiHerald.com, teachers will talk with parents about how their child could best use their period of silence.
Although, the teacher aren’t allowed to make suggestions about how the time could be used. People who are opposing the moment of silence are saying it crosses the line of division between church and state.
