Best State For Craft Beer 2021
Despite everything that happened in 2020, the number of craft breweries in the US actually increased. According to Yahoo.com, there were 273 small and independent breweries opened in America during 2020 alone. The total number of craft breweries in America is now around 8764.
VinePair used statistical data from the Brewers Association to show how these breweries are spread out from state to state. Currently California has the most breweries with 958. However in Vermont they have the most breweries per capita with about 15.4 per 10,000 adults. Of all 50 states, Mississippi currently has the least breweries overall. The state government in Mississippi didn’t allowed breweries to sell alcohol on-site until 2017, so it’s only a matter of time until they catch up.
