Google’s New “Heads Up” Feature Could Save Lives
We all have seen those people on the street that just won’t look up from their phones! Whether they are walking on a busy street or even crossing the road they are unbothered by the world around them. If you’ve ever been that person and accidently ran into something or someone it could be quite painful. Google has now made a few feature for these “smartphone zombies.”
According to USAToday.com, the feature will use motion detectors to tell that you’re moving and then find your location to determine if you are inside or outside. If you’re moving while your screen is on the phone will begin sending you messages such as “stay focused” and “watch out.”
The feature is still in the testing process. It is currently available only for Google Pixel users but should be available for smartphone users everywhere shortly.
