Man Arrested For Stealing $1,200 In Girl Scout Cookies
Joel Whittaker got the craving for Girl Scout Cookies late Saturday night (March 20th). Apparently the craving was so intense that the meth pipe and small amount of heroin he had in his car simply wouldn’t do. So he decided to rob a local grocery store for their Girl Scout Cookies. Rochester, Minnesota police were notified when Joel set of the grocery store’s alarm system.
They found Joel with 23 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies shoved into his backseat and also the trunk of his car. According to Local21News.com, he told police he had spent his night dumpster diving and got lucky enough to find all the cookies on an loading dock that was conveniently unlocked. In his car, authorities also found two stolen license plates, bolt cutters, a meth pipe, and heroine.
Not only did Joel not get to eat his cookies but now he also faces several felony charges including burglary and theft.
